The branch conducted the first plant level orientation seminar for the year to promote and facilitate the main programs of National Conciliation and Mediation Board namely Labor Management Cooperation (LMC), Grievance Machinery (GM) and Voluntary Arbitration (VA) and Conciliation-mediation to CH Beatisula, Inc. (CHBI) and CH Beatisula Engineering Consultancy (CHBEC) on January 28, 2020 at Café Demitasse, F. Torres St., Davao City.

A Significant Success for RCMBXI

for the Settlement of one Critical Case

 

“The branch finally settled the Notice of Strike at Indorama Ventures Packaging Philippines Corp. on January 17, 2020 which we consider as a critical case.  This is also the first settlement of the branch for the year,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie Reyes yesterday.

The branch headed by Dir. Reyes and facilitated by Conciliator-mediator Rhium Truce Salvador conducted several marathon conciliation conferences for the labor dispute between Indorama Ventures Packaging Philippines Corporation Labor Union (IVPPCLU) and its management.

The said union filed a Notice of Strike on the grounds bargaining deadlock on October 22, 2019 in which the branch validated deadlocked items consisting of 33 political and 22 economic provisions.

“Pepsi-Cola Products Phils., Inc. (PCPPI) and Pepsi-Cola Employees and Workers’ Union (Davao)-Federation and Cooperation of Cola, Beverage and Allied Industry Unions-Sentro ng mga Nagkakaisa at Progresibong Manggagawa (PEWU-FCCU-SENTRO) signed their Memorandum of Agreement on Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations today December 27, 2019,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie R. Reyes announced today.

“This is very remarkable for the year since the branch facilitated the settlement of this labor dispute on the last working day of the year which started on December 26 until dawn of December 27.  Finally, it was signed this day,” Dir. Reyes added. Continue reading

Five Workers are Reinstated Thru SEnA

 

Davao City – “Five workers were reinstated in Davao Masarap Masaya Corp through Single Entry Approach.,” Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Nancy Lasquite announced.

Wilfred Japing approached this branch for a request for assistance on November 18, 2019 on the issue of illegal dismissal with money claims against Davao Masarap Masaya Corp.

Following Japing, ten more workers filed for RFA on November 20, 2019 on the same issue.
